Since 2014, the OSSPL has proven that the love of the game doesn’t have an expiration date. We are a league of men 70 and older who refuse to trade the diamond for the lazy-boy chair. While we play for the camaraderie, make no mistake: when the umpire calls “Play Ball,” the competitive fire burns as bright as ever. We play hard, we play fair, and we play for the sheer joy of the sport.

Every Tuesday morning at Glen Ashton Park, the OSSPL brings together decades of experience for one common goal: great Slo-Pitch. Our four-team league is built on a simple philosophy: Compete at 10:00 AM, celebrate at Noon. From May to October, we balance high-level play with the best post-game traditions in Oakville.

HOW [a]I SEE IT !!

Another perfect day on the diamond – at least the weather! Golds failed in a comeback bid while Blues struggles continued.

That Gold squad fought hard to pull within three, but White managed to hold them off just in time. Meanwhile, it looks like Blue might need a team meeting (or a heavy dose of strategy) before next week to shake off that slump.

Either way, win or lose, it’s tough to beat a cold one at the Pump and Patio to wrap it all up.

The OSSPL is a men’s slow-pitch league for players 70 years and older who want to continue to play for enjoyment at a competitive level consistent with our ages. We play for fun, however all teams are highly competitive when the "Play ball" command comes from the umpire.
