Since 2014, the OSSPL has proven that the love of the game doesn’t have an expiration date. We are a league of men 70 and older who refuse to trade the diamond for the lazy-boy chair. While we play for the camaraderie, make no mistake: when the umpire calls “Play Ball,” the competitive fire burns as bright as ever. We play hard, we play fair, and we play for the sheer joy of the sport.

Every Tuesday morning at Glen Ashton Park, the OSSPL brings together decades of experience for one common goal: great Slo-Pitch. Our four-team league is built on a simple philosophy: Compete at 10:00 AM, celebrate at Noon. From May to October, we balance high-level play with the best post-game traditions in Oakville.

Sounds like the weather gods are definitely playing ball! Tuesday is looking fantastic for Slo-Pitch—28°C, zero percent chance of rain, and clear, sunny skies.

Here’s how the matchups break down for game day:

Gold vs. Whites: A classic underdog story—can Gold find the defensive strategy to halt the juggernaut offense?
Blue vs. Reds: Pure speed against strategy. Blues will need disciplined defense to keep those fleetfooted Reds contained on the basepaths.

Play ball, bring the sunblock, and good luck out on the diamonds!

The OSSPL is a men’s slow-pitch league for players 70 years and older who want to continue to play for enjoyment at a competitive level consistent with our ages. We play for fun, however all teams are highly competitive when the "Play ball" command comes from the umpire.
